HUMMUS SPICED WITH TOFU

Hummus is chickpeas in the best version possible. It originates from Arabic countries and tastes like heaven. Hummus is made out of cooked chickpeas, tahini paste and oriental spices. We prefer it on homemade naan bread or thin slices of corn ciabatta. The idea about spicing it up with tofu crossed our minds by coincidence.
Two cups of cooked chickpeas
teaspoon of tahini
Package of I Like Tofu Smoked
fleur de sel

Put chickpeas, tahini, garlic, cayenne pepper and cumin into a mixer. Add some salt, olive oil and warm water. Mix until all the ingredients are mixed into a fine and smooth spread. If hummus is not smooth enough, add some oil or water.
Spread hummus on bread slices. Make little nests out of clean arugula and place them on top of hummus. Grate tofu over arugula, sprinkle it with fleur de sel and add a few drops of olive oil.
If you don’t like cumin, you can use turmeric. Hummus will get a warmer flavor and yellow color.
